BlackDad is a storytelling platform dedicated to documenting and celebrating the people, traditions, achievements, and everyday moments that strengthen black communities.

Through photography, writing, and visual storytelling, BlackDad preserves stories that might otherwise go unnoticed—stories of leadership, family, culture, service, education, entrepreneurship, mentorship, creativity, and legacy.

We believe positive representation matters. We believe communities are strengthened when their stories are told. And we believe future generations deserve to see examples of excellence, resilience, compassion, and leadership reflected back to them.

BlackDad was inspired by the values of fatherhood, mentorship, sports, and faith, but its mission extends beyond any single category. We seek to document the many ways people contribute to their families, neighborhoods, and communities.
